A vote on Israel’s participation in the Eurovision contest next year has been postponed following a ceasefire deal, the organisers said on Monday.
A vote had been tabled to take place in November after several countries pledged to boycott the event if Israeli contestants took part over it’s war on Gaza.
“The Board agreed to put the issue on the agenda of its ordinary Winter General Assembly, which will be taking place in December,” instead of the extraordinary meeting that had been slated to take place online in November, an European Broadcasting Union statement said.
