Qatar denies report suggesting its US partnership is under review

Qatar has firmly denied a report by Axios claiming it was reassessing its security partnership with the United States, dismissing the story as “categorically false”.

In a statement on Thursday, the Qatari International Media Office said there was no truth to suggestions of a review and rejected any implication of a rift with Washington.

Doha stressed that its defence and security ties with the US remain “stronger than ever and continue to grow”.
