Lawmaker Seth Moulton says he'll return AIPAC money in senate campaign against Ed Markey

A lawmaker said on Thursday he is returning money to pro-Israel lobby group American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) ahead of a district race with a progressive senator. 

Seth Moulton said in a post on X he would return $35,000 he had received in donations from AIPAC ahead of his democratic primary challenge to Ed Markey, a political critic of Israel.

While the former marine said he believed in Israel's right to exist, he said he did not support AIPAC's decision to support prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. 

He did not say whether he would be happy to receive donations if AIPAC decides to support another Israeli leader in the future.
