Gaza ministry warns against ‘deceitful’ Israeli claim of humanitarian zone in southern Gaza

Gaza’s ministry of interior has issued a statement warning against Israel’s claim that it set up a humanitarian zone in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis in Gaza.

“We call on citizens in Gaza City to beware of the occupation’s deceitful claims about the existence of a humanitarian safe zone in the south of the Strip,” it said in a statement.

Israeli military’s Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee today said in a post on X that civilians should evacuate the buildings and areas the military has designated for strikes southward toward the so-called "humanitarian zone."
