Unrwa Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said total impunity and lack of empathy have made life for Palestinians in Gaza “an inferno.”
In a post on X, Lazzarini said the latest plague is a “manmade famine” and “it can be reversed.”
“All it takes to change course is political will, open the gates & let us work,” he said, adding that Unrwa alone has enough food and assistance currently stuck in Egypt and Jordan to cover the critical needs of the entire population for three months.

The latest plague is a manmade #famine. It can be reversed : all it takes to change course is political will, open the gates & let us work.
